Air Vanuatu

It is the national flag carrier airline of Vanuatu. The airline was established in 1981 with its first flight departed Sydney for Port Vila. Initially Air Vanuatu sought assistance from Ansett Airlines. The government of Vanuatu got 100% ownership in 1987. Qantas leased a few aircrafts to Air Vanuatu in 1993.
