This was one of the major regional airlines of America with its base at Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Previously the airline was famous by the name Midwest Express. One of the famous services provided by the airline was its well-known Signature Service.
Founded in 1948 by the name K-C Aviation. The name Midwest Express was given in 1984. The airline started adding McDonnell Douglas MD-80 aircrafts in 1990. Skyway Airlines was also started as domestic and regional subsidiary of Midwest Express. In 2002, again the name was changed to Midwest Airlines.
Midwest Airlines ceased all its flights operations in 2010 and merged into Frontier Airlines.
