Officially known as Cimber Sterling was regional airlines of Denmark with its base at Sønderborg, Denmark. Cimber Air provided domestic as well as international flights services to may destinations in association with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and Lufthansa.
Founded in 1950, and later purchased by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) in 1998. Cimber air was again sold to Cimber Air Holding by SAS in 2003. It was then renamed to Cimber Sterling in 2008. The airline was maintaining employee strength of about 368 employees. Due to bankruptcy Cimber Air ceased all its flight operations on 3 May 2012.
