It was regional and domestic airlines of Finland with its base at Helsinki, Finland. Blue1 was providing air flight services to several domestic destinations as well as international flights to many cities in Europe. It is an associate of Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS).
Established in 1987, Blue1 started air flight services as Air Botnia. In 1998, SAS purchased Air Botnia. In 2004, it changed the name to Blue1 and started providing flight services to several destinations. It became Star Alliance member in 2004.
Blue1 stopped all flight operations in its name in 2016 and merged into CityJet.
