Air One

This was one of the busiest airlines of Italy. It had its main base in Milan Malpensa Airport, Italy. Air One had been second largest airline in Italy and now the airline has merged with Alitalia. The airline operated domestic as well as international flights to several destinations worldwide. It used to provide scheduled passenger flights to more than 35 destinations in Italy, North America, and Europe.

Air One was established in 1983 as Aliadriatica and started scheduled and charter flights operations in 1994 with first Boeing 737-200. The airline was renamed to Air One in 1995 and started air flights between Rome and Milan. It was merged with Alitalia in August 2008. Apart from Alitalia, a separate brand of Air One started operating in March 2010 by the name of "Smart Carrier" that provided low cost flights.

In October 2014, all flight operations of Air One were terminated and the company was shut down.
