It was one of the popular airlines that operated in all French Polynesia connecting Tahiti and Moorea by air transport. Air Moorea had its main base in Faa'a, Tahiti, French Polynesia, near Papeete. Besides providing scheduled passenger flights, it also operated efficient cargo flights services. It was the subsidiary of Air Tahiti. The airline was established in September 1968.
