It was the regional airline of Japan and founded in 1953 initially as Nakanihon Air Service. Air Central had its main base in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. All Nippon Airways ANA was one of the major shareholders of Air Central. The airline provided scheduled passenger flights services to several domestic destinations as ANA.
In 1988, the airline was named to Nakanihon Airlines (NAL) in joint venture with Nagoya Railroad and ANA. It was then renamed to Air Central in 2005 and started operating domestic flights as well as a few international flights destinations. All the flight operations were suspended on 1 Oct, 2010 and the airline was rebranded as ANA Wings.
