It was low cost airline of Germany with its base at Munich, Germany. DBA used to provide scheduled air flight services to several domestic as well as international destinations. DBA also operated charter flight services to Europe and North Africa.
Founded in 1992, with merger of Delta Air in British Airways giving it the name Deutsche BA. It was again rebranded as DBA in 2006. Air Berlin acquired 100% shares in DBA. Both the airlines continued to operate independently. DBA continued under Air Berlin Banner.
Finally on November 30, 2008, Air Berlin dissolved DBA and acquired all of its planes into Air Berlin fleet.
