Luxair (Société Luxembourgeoise de Navigation Aérienne SA) is the national airline of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It was founded in 1948, and was set up in 1961. Luxair flights operate scheduled air flight services to 50 destinations in Europe, North Africa, the Mediterranean and Middle East. Its main base is Luxembourg-Findel International Airport.

The Company has started its services in 1961 in between Luxembourg and other European cities. In 1962, Luxair began flight Fokker F27 by launching a Luxembourg-Paris route.
The airline's first jet airliner was introduced in 1969. Luxair’s first Boeing aircraft, a Boeing 737-200, joined the fleet in 1977. In 2003, the airline launched 2 new Boeing 737-700 to replace its older planes. It has 2,210 employees.
