This is national airline based in Croatia, Zagreb. It was established in July 1989 as a Zagal Zagreb Airline. In 1990 it replaced its name and the new one is ‘Croatia Airlines’. It provides air flight services to domestic and international flights destinations. It is a member of Star Alliance. Its main base are Zagreb International Airport, Dubrovnik Airport and Split Airport.

The airline started its operations in August 1989. It entered the international air traffic and became a member of the International Association of Air Transport (IATA). In 2004 it became a member of the Star Alliance.
In 1993 the airline launched two aircraft of the ATR-42 type and two aircraft of the Boeing 737 type. In January 1998, Croatian Airlines became a member of AEA - Association of European Airlines.
