It was the national airline situated in Cameroon based in Douala. The airline was established on July 1971. The airline was wholly owned by Cameroon Government and Air France. The headquarter was also based in Douala. Cameroon Airlines had its main base at Douala International Airport.
The airline ceased all its flight operations in March 2008. Now Camair-Co has replaced it as national flag carrier of the country

Cameroon Airlines Profile

The airline started air flight operations in November 1971 between Douala and Yaoundé with 2 Boeing 737-200 aircraft. It launched the Boeing 747-200 in 1982. Prior to the airline's formation, Cameroon's air services were provided by Air Afrique. Cameroon Airlines ceased operations in 2005 due to poor financial performance.

However in 2006, the Government of Cameroon deals an agreement with SN Air holding, the mother company of SN Brussels Airlines, to revive the airline. Cameroon Airlines is privatized by the state government in 2007. The Airlines also started implementing electronic ticketing and the first e-ticket is scheduled in December 2006.
